The machine is designed for precision drilling and boring of cold-drawn and hot-rolled steel pipes, as well as non-magnetic materials. It can also perform drilling and trepanning on round steel bars. The use of specialized tools improves the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the inner holes of steel pipes. Materials that can be processed include ordinary carbon steels, high-quality carbon steels, and low alloy steels such as 20, 45, 16Mn, 25Mn, 27SiMn.

Three Basic Machining Methods
1. Workpiece Rotation (Drill Head brake)
The headstock drives the workpiece to rotate, while the boring bar drives the combination head, drill bit and German-style hydraulic fine boring and rolling tools to feed. This setup is used for precision machining on hot-rolled steel pipes.
2. Tool Rotation (Headstock brake)
The headstock is braked to keep the workpiece stationary. The boring bar head drives the boring bar to rotate. Using combination head, drill bit, and German-style hydraulic fine boring and rolling tools, this function performs fine boring and rolling on hot-rolled or cold-drawn steel pipes with the pre-bored inner holes. This function can correct drilling deviations and is particularly suitable for machining drill collars and petroleum components.
3. Dual Rotation of Workpiece and Drill Bar
The headstock drives the workpiece to rotate, while the boring bar head drives the boring bar to rotate and feed simultaneously. This machining method improves the straightness and efficiency of the machined parts.
